Living Well Courses


Living Well with a Chronic Condition

  • The Calgary Pain Program and Living Well have an ongoing partnership to provide education & support program for people with chronic pain
  • Living Well also provides education & support for people with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, arthritis, chronic lung disease and other long term illnesses (see the living well website for more information)
  • Open to the public
  • Offered throughout the city & in rural locations
  • Offered in a culturally sensitive manner to certain ethnic populations who may have cultural barriers to the mainstream Living Well program

3 Components to the Living Well Chronic Pain Program

  1. Pain Self Management classes (free)
  2. Explaining Pain education classes (free)
  3. SMART Moves education classes (free)

It is recommended that you participate in all 3 components to best manage your chronic pain.

To enrol in a Living Well with Chronic Pain Class:
  •  self, physician or chronic disease management (CDM) nurse referral required
