The Nutrition and Active Living program and the Calgary Health Region provide a variety of health education resources and services to support healthy eating for the people served by the Calgary Health Region.

The Nutrition and Active Living Helpline - providing consultation by telephone on a wide variety of health related issues including such topics as the importance of healthy eating for the prevention of chronic diseases.

Health Canada's - Body Mass Index Calculator - Maintaining a healthy body weight is one of the best ways to protect and promote good health. Calculate your BMI and identify your risk of developing health problems.

Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide materials (available in English and French)

Senior Friendly Ideas for Healthy Eating - Dietitians of Canada in collaboration with the Senior Friendly™ Program, has developed a series of 12 tip sheets to assist seniors with planning, shopping and preparing healthy meals.

Senior Chef Cookbook - recipes in the Senior Chef have been selected so that you may be assured of serving nutritious, economical and easy to prepare meals. Suggestions for modifying many of the recipes have also been made.
