Introduction to 'Survivor: Dress for the Occasion' Video

In a world with new and emerging pathogens it is important that Health Care Workers know how to protect themselves. The video “Survivor: Dress for the occasion”, is designed to familiarize staff with the basic concepts of Standard Practice and Isolation. It demonstrates how to put on and take off Personal Protective Equipment staff wear for protection, avoiding contamination of themselves and the environment.

Hand washing is the single most important thing a person can do to protect themselves and prevent the spread of germs. This video looks at why hand washing is important and the proper technique used for hand washing.

Introduction to the Superbugs Video

While researchers have made some progress in developing new antibiotics to fight superbugs, more work is needed. In the meantime, Dr. Louie and his colleagues will continue their battle against the superbugs.
