Family Caregiver Centre

About Us

The Family Caregiver Centre, the first of it's kind in Alberta, is an initiative of the Calgary Health Region in partnership with the Calgary Health Trust.

The Centre, which opened in February 2000, was developed in response to needs identified by family caregivers.

They further indicated a need for a coordinated source of information, education and support to enable them in their caregiving role. The intent of this service is not to duplicate the work of other groups or providers, but instead to help enhance, mobilize and coordinate existing services.
