Health Information for Vulnerable Populations


Alberta Health Services is committed to providing health information and health services information that is accessible for everyone. Vulnerable populations may experience barriers, such as language, literacy, and communication barriers, that prevent them from accessing information in the same ways as members of the general public. W have developed basic health information in a variety of languages and formats to help to reduce some of those barriers:
 

Road to Healthy Living

Road to Healthy Living is a series of articles on a variety of health and health services topics.  In Alberta, these articles are published in nine Ethnocultural newsletters, and presented on six radio stations and one TV program each month.  Here they are, available in plain English and in the following languages:

 

Video "Getting Health Care When You Are Sick"
