Devices/Demos

Different asthma medications use different asthma devices.  There are three kinds of devices:

a Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) with a spacer.   MDIs with a mask are recommended for small children under 4 years of age.

a Turbuhaler

a Diskus

Each device has a different technique to deliver the medication to your lungs in the most effective way.  To link to a demonstration of how best to take asthma medication, click on the picture of the device below that looks the most like the one you/your child uses.  You can also view the written instructions in English for each device by clicking on the "Print Here" under each device.
