Title:

Evaluation of the Introduction of Internationally Educated Nurses to Alberta

Objectives:  

 

To conduct a systematic evaluation of the impact of international recruitment, assessment and integration of Registered Nurses in the Calgary and Northern Lights Health Regions. Evaluation will address adaptation at the level of individual RNs, as well as the cost-effectiveness and impact of IEN recruitment at the organization and system levels.

 

Methods:

 

1.       Qualitative interviews and focus groups

2.       Quantitative description and analysis (e.g. demographics of IENs, costs)
