Zahra Nurani joined as a consultant with the Health Systems and Workforce Research Unit (HSWRU) in October 2006. Currently, Zahra manages the Alberta Health Workforce Management Research Network which provides an opportunity for professional practice leaders and health services researchers to work together in addressing the workforce and service delivery issues that are common to the health regions in Alberta and the Alberta Cancer Board. Zahra is also a facilitator with the Interprofessional Education and Practice Project as well as various other initiatives within the HSWRU.

 

Since earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry (Hon) from McMaster University in 1995, Zahra has earned progressive health human resource experience with a focus on program planning, training design and implementation. Zahra’s expertise includes change management, project management, strategic planning and evaluation, business process analysis, implementation, course delivery and facilitation.
