Steve Friesen is a Research Associate with the HSWRU team. He joined the team in September 2003.  Since that time has supported much of the team’s research and is continuing to develop a strong focus on the role of environmental design in healing environments, quality workplaces and sustainable health systems.  Steve has recently chaired a provincial task group examining evaluation of health care facilities and is currently pursing a graduate degree in the faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary.

    

Steve is currently an investigator on the following HSWRU projects:

• Relating Health Care Environmental Design to Health Quality Outcomes: Post Occupancy Evaluation of the Ward of the 21st Century (2006-2008)
• Creating an Interprofessional Learning Environment through Communities of Practice: An Alternative to Traditional Preceptorship (2005-2007)
