Esther Suter holds a PhD in Natural Sciences (1990) from the Swiss Institute of Technology and an MSW (2003) from the University of Calgary. She joined the Health Systems & Workforce Research Unit in the Calgary Health Region in June 2004 as a Research and Evaluation Consultant. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary.

 

Esther is currently the Principal investigator on the following HSWRU projects:

• Creating an Interprofessional Learning Environment through Communities of Practice: An Alternative to Traditional Preceptorship (2005-2007)

• Relating Health Care Environmental Design to Health Quality Outcomes: Post Occupancy Evaluation of the Ward of the 21st Century (2006-2008)
• Systematic Review on Integration (2006-2008)

 

She collaborates on a number of other initiatives and is a member of several working groups such as Integrative Medicine in the Calgary Health Region; Integrated Planning and Evaluation working group; PEAK (Practice Enhancement Achieved through Knowledge) and SACYHN Evaluation working group (Southern Alberta Child and Youth Health network).
