Welcome to the Calgary Health Region
Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Department

We are an integrated imaging department which...

	Provides a complete range of diagnostic treatment services to patients in acute care hospitals, community hospitals, and community care centres across the Region;
	Supports educational programs for the clinical and technical training of personnel in conjunction with the University of Calgary, the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology; and
	Supports research programs for enhancing the development and application of imaging science and technology for diagnostic and treatment purposes.

These services, teaching and research programs are provided in a manner consistent with the highest possible level of quality patient care.

Some people know us as the "X-Ray" department or the "Radiology" Department. However, the services provided are far broader than that. The modalities provided in DI include general radiography, angiography, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, mammography, special procedures, CT and MRI.
