Women's Health Resources provides supports, education, services and resources to more than 66,000 women each year.  We  express our appreciation to the individuals, families and businesses who have provided the program with financial gifts.

These contributions provide for:

  • Provision of free counselling services for women.  Women can access a psychologist, clinical nurse specialist and/or dietician for up to five sessions each per year.  This service is provided to more than 2000 women each year.

  • Library materials for the Women's Health Centre Knowledge Centre (library).  Currently, our consumer library houses more than 6,000 books, videos and journals.

  • An Outreach Program reaching more than 9,700 marginalized women per year.

  • Program innovations that keep Women's Health Resources on the leading edge of supports and services.

  • Providing almost 700 bursaries valued at $30 - $200 for attendance at Women's Health Resources Workshops annually.

  • Supplement the ongoing costs of sponsoring 50 workshops for women in every two month calendar.

  • Audio/Visual equipment that enhances the workshop experience for participants.

Donations to the Calgary Health Trust help advance the quality of care within the Alberta Health Services.  Donors have the opportunity to choose from a list of priority needs or select a personal area of interest, ensuring that every dollar supports an area that is meaningful for the donor.

Since 1996, more than $125 million has been raised for excellence in health care.  Funds are raised through a variety of ways – including hospital sites, estate planning and well-known special events and lotteries.
