FOOTHILLS MEDICAL CENTRE PATIENT HOSTEL

What is the Patient Hostel?

The Patient Hostel is a facility that provides accommodation for certain types of patients who live outside of Calgary. The Patient Hostel is located on the 12th and 13th floors in the South Tower of the Foothills Medical Centre. It is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each floor has a shared kitchen with a fridge, stove, freezer, hotplate, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and some dishes.

  • Please note that the Patient Hostel is not wheelchair accessible at this time.

The Patient Hostel can accommodate 36 people. The rooms are set up in apartment style accommodation with a combination of one and two bedroom suites.

Patients may be assigned to a one bedroom suite or a two bedroom suite. If you are in a two bedroom suite, you may have another patient as a roommate. You will have your own locked bedroom, but will share the living room, dining room and washroom with another patient. If you, or the patient in the other bedroom, have brought an escort, that person will sleep on a hide-a-bed in the living room area.
