ADMITTING SERVICES

Out of Country Patients

Residents of another country will be billed for services received at a Calgary Regional Hospital or Health Facility. 

Fees will not be billed to a third party e.g. Insurance Company.  Individuals are responsible to follow up with their insurance company.

There will be 2 charges – a facility fee and a physician fee.  At most sites, only the facility fee will be collected at the Business Office, but please discuss payment options with the Business Office staff.

If a non-resident is admitted to the hospital, a fee will be charged for each day of the inpatient hospital stay.

The daily rate includes hospital services required for patient care such as laboratory services, x-rays, medications, operating room costs.  The daily rate does not cover certain special or high cost procedures or any appliances (canes or crutches).  Also, the inpatient rate does not cover the physician or anaesthetist's fees.

A deposit may be required upon admission.
