ADMITTING SERVICES

Important Information Before Being Admitted

Follow all instructions given to you by your family doctor, surgeon or the pre-admission clinic.  If you have any questions regarding these instructions, contact your family doctor or surgeon’s office.

Each time you visit to a hospital or urgent care centre you must present your Provincial Health Care card to the Admitting Department.  You may also be asked for photo identification.

You may bring personal items and clothing with you – toothbrush, sleepwear, etc.. Mark all personal items with your name.

Alberta Children’s Hospital patients who have a blue hospital card from that facility are asked to present that blue card at admission.
