TELLING YOUR CHILD

Talking to children about an upcoming surgery is important. Children who know what to expect will feel more confident about coming to the hospital. Using age-appropriate activities to prepare children will help them understand what is happening, and reduce any fears or anxiety they may be feeling. There are many things you can do either at home or in the hospital to support your child.
